J C Plastering have been trading for over 10 years and pride ourselves on top quality workmanship. Our aim is to leave you with the flattest, smoothest and best finish around, and that’s why we really are a ‘skim above the rest’.
We specialise in flat ceilings, over skimming artex ceilings and ceiling repair. However, we offer a range of services listed below. View our gallery to see a selection of jobs we have completed.

Plastering / Skimming
A layer of plaster usually applied to an interior wall or ceiling. Smooth to touch when finished and ready for decorating.Plasterboarding
Pre-made plasterboards are used to cover a current wall or create a dividing wall using a wooden frame. Usually quicker than backing coat plasters such as Hard Wall or Bonding coats.-
Hard wall bonding coats
A backing coat plaster is applied to either block work walls or damaged walls. Then skimmed to a smooth finish.

Over boarding
Used when an old wall or artex ceiling can’t be skimmed due to its condition. New boards are fixed over the top to allow a smooth finish to skim. -
Rendering
Usually a smooth application of sand and cement
to an exterior wall. Usually consisting of 2 or 3
coats.

Dot and Dab
Consists of sticking sheets of plasterboard to internal block work walls or damaged interior walls and then skimmed smooth. Drying times are usually quicker.
